Dell Rapids Fire and Rescue and Prairie Dogs Search and Rescue held disaster training at The Retreat at Pointer's Ridge, Saturday, August 19.
Wentworth Fire and Rescue held a two-day extrication class for area departments September 9-10. Members from Nunda, Chester, Madison, Colman and Wentworth attended classes.
There were district fire schools being held all over the state these past few weeks, and still some training opportunities to come.

Stephen Siller, a New York Firefighter, was there on 9/11. This exhibit was created by Stephen’s family after the tragedy on Sept. 11, 2001.
The officers of the Kansas State Firefighters Association traveled to Marion for fire school during the second weekend in September.
Good day Kansas Fire Service. Fall is just around the corner for us and we can look forward to cool days. Family vacations are winding down and school has started again.
A fuel spill ignited from a car being worked on at EZ Auto Repair in Farmington brought multiple fire departments to the scene.
