Overhaul

     Being a firefighter has some great benefits. Riding in a truck with lights and sirens, cool shirts, the respect of your community, etc. There are a few things about this job that do stink. In my opinion, one of those things is overhaul. Sure, going to the fire and putting it out is what the public sees.

Stuart fire

Stuart Fire was called into service at 1 a.m. on Nov. 26 for a structure fire at the M and G Storage units at the west end of town. Smoke and heavy fire was found upon arrival. Dexter Fire and Menlo Fire were called in for additional support. See more photos inside. Submitted by Mike Kalbach.

House Fire in Epworth

     On Friday, Nov. 27th, 2020 at 7:35 p.m. the Epworth

Fire Department was notified by the Dubuque County 911 Center of a working structure fire located at 21686 Bethany Lane, Epworth.

Malmo hosts training

  Malmo Volunteer Fire Department hosted a house burn/training Sunday, Nov. 21st. Ron Jenson of rural Malmo donated his parents 2-story farm house to the Malmo Fire Department for training.

New Underwood Structure Fire Escalated To Two Alarms

     New Underwood Volunteer Fire Department, responded to a reported open flames and smoke visible in an occupied residential structure, at 202 S B Ave., City of New Underwood, Pennington County, SD on Dec. 2 at 11:22 p.m.
