Chancellor responds

In the early hours of December 1, Chancellor Community Fire Department (CCFD) responded to a pickup where the driver reportedly fell asleep and left the roadway.  The vehicle entered the ditch where it jumped a creek and hit the opposite bank before flipping end over end and landing on its roof about 50 feet from the point of impact.  The driver was able to self-extricate and thanks to their seatbelt use only had minor injuries. CCFD was assisted on-scene by Parker Volunteer Ambulance Service, Turner County Sheriff’s Office and Lincoln County Dispatch. Later in the month, CCFD responded to two separate single vehicle rollovers where road conditions and alcohol both factored into the vehicles leaving the roadway and rolling into the ditch.  Both drivers were left with only minor injuries because they were wearing their seatbelts. CCFD was assisted on-scene by Lennox Ambulance, Turner County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Lincoln County Dispatch. Submitted by Jeremy Nettifee, Chief, Chancellor Community Fire Department.
