Confined space rescue

In late May, five of the newest full-time Albert Lea firefighters completed a 40-hour confined space rescue technician training through the IAFF (International Association of Fire Fighters). We were fortunate to host the class at our station and in our community. The course prepares technicians for high-risk, technical rescues in hazardous environments and encompasses many areas of knowledge. Seven other fire departments were able to participate in the training with us - Cloquet Area, Mason City, Faribault, Winona, Minnetonka, St. Paul and Austin.
