Convention registration

   Greetings Fellow Firefighters - The board has continued to be busy. With planning this year’s convention, staying up to date with the legislative session and presenting many service awards.

   I was honored to assist Past President Roger Bissen in presenting a 35 years of service award. Bruce Blum of Harlan was very much deserving of this spotlight. As long as I have been attending IFA events, he has always been around to assist in any way. Congratulations Bruce, hope you continue to serve Harlan and the IFA for years to come.

   By now convention registration is officially open. We hope you take the time to preregister as that would really help us prepare. The committee has been meeting every month and communicating through many emails. I know we still have a few months of planning left but I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to the convention committee. Some much work

goes into planning the convention and this committee is knocking it out of the park.

   As we approach the end of the legislative session, please stay alert to your emails. We may need help through the final push. Sending emails to your local representatives and letting them know how important our LOSAP bill is. We have no doubt that this bill would help with our growing problem with recruitment and retention. We have laid the foundation and know we hope it grows.

   June 28th, 2025 IFA PAC Golf Tournament - Fox Ridge Golf Course, Dike, IA
